Georgina Morales Ayala

Georgina Morales Ayala, 96, of Athens, passed away Monday, June 15, 2020 at a local healthcare facility.  She was of the Pentecostal faith, and a godly woman.  She was a loving, giving, and generous mother, who lived for, loved, and trusted the Lord Jesus with all her heart and soul.

She was born in Puerto Rico and moved to New York City in the 1950's. She met and married Jorge Luis Ayala and they had three daughters.  She gave her heart to Jesus on December 31, 1958 and devoted her life to Him.

She was preceded in death by her parents Antonio Morales and Carmen Maria Calo Morales; sisters Mercedes Morales, Antonia Morales-Maldonado, Aurelina Morales-Santos,  Maria Morales Rivera, and brothers Fidel Morales, Jesus Morales, Ruben Morales.

She is survived by her children Valerie Cruz of Florida, Laura Ortiz of Cleveland, and Ivia Yolanda Feeney (Daniel) of Texas; eleven  grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; siblings Nazario Morales, Jose Morales, and Carlos Morales.

A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2020, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home. 

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
