George “Buddy” Amos Patrick, Jr.

"Buddy" George Amos Patrick Jr. passed away peacefully at the age of 79, Thursday, February 16, 2023.

He is survived by his loving wife, Wanda; daughters, Danna Moses and Lisa Patrick; grandson, Andrew Ross; granddaughters Katelynn and Gracie Moses; his sisters, Sheila Brank, Vickie Clark, Cathy Brown, Susie Womac, Jeannie Stevens, Charlene Geren, and Jo Crye; brother, Phil Patrick; and several nieces and nephews.

     Buddy and Wanda were happily married for 54 years.  They enjoyed going on family vacations together, venturing through the mountains, and outdoor activities with their girls and their grandson.  Buddy was very involved in his girls’ softball teams, helping to coach both of them for many years. Buddy was a very loyal employee of Brad's Electric for 44 years. He was a proud veteran of the US Army. He was always known as being loving, kind, thoughtful, giving, and dependable.    He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Pauline and Luke McSpadden; father, George Amos Patrick; brother, Ronnie Patrick; and in-laws, Hoyt and Edith Blankenship, Jack and Judy Blankenship,  Ronnie Geren, and Woody Brank. 

A celebration of his life will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 20, 2023 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend David Taylor officiating.  Interment with military honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Andrew Ross, Leon Shahan, Michael Moses,  and Matt Godbee serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes will conclude the service.
   
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 19 and from 11:00am to 1:00 p.m. on Monday February 20, 2023 at the funeral home prior to the service.

His family would like to thank Legacy Village of Cleveland as well as Hearth Hospice of Cleveland for the loving care given by the nurses, caregivers, and staff.
