Gary Lee Detwiler

Gary Lee Detwiler passed away on June 1, 2024, in Cleveland, Tennessee, at the age of 82. He is survived by his wife, Judy; four children: Cherrie Grout of Phoenix, Arizona; Kasey Arrasmith of Mesa, Idaho; Jeff Detwiler of Americus, Georgia; Scott Detwiler of Cleveland, Tennessee; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Homer Detwiler, his mother and stepfather Helen and Virgil Fellows and his brother LeRoy Detwiler.

He was born in Coquille, Oregon. Gary proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He studied social work at Lewis and Clark State College before beginning a career as a juvenile probation officer for the state of Tennessee. He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, nature and landscaping.

He is fondly remembered and will be deeply missed by his loved ones.
