Freida Juanice Jones McClure, 88, a resident of Cleveland, went to sleep in Jesus on Friday, August 27, 2021 at a healthcare facility in Chattanooga. She was born on March 30, 1933 to the late Lloyd and Mildred Jones. She was a member of South Cleveland Church of God. She retired from Bendix Friction Materials (Honeywell) after many years of service.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years, Joe Max McClure, Sr.; son, Joe Max McClure Jr., and several siblings.
She is survived by her son, Mitchell L. (Sherri) McClure of Hixson; five grandchildren, Rananah Chastain, Joshua, Jonathan, and Zachary McClure, and Sara Hartman; five great-grandchildren, Kayla, Abigail and C.J. Chastain, Gabrial and Katherine McClure; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
A graveside service will held at Sunset Memorial Gardens at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 2nd with the Chaplain (Captain), U. S. Army Jonathan McClure and Reverend Mitch McClure officiating. A white dove ceremony and the playing of bagpipes will conclude the service.
The family would like to thank the special caregivers from Hospice of Chattanooga, Tennova Home Health, and At Home Care. Special thanks to the staff at Hospice Care Center in Chattanooga for their kindness shown to her.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorials sent to the South Cleveland Church of God Prime Timers at 1846 Volunteer Drive, Cleveland, TN 37311
