Frances Alene Patterson

Frances Alene Patterson, 82, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was a member of Cedar Springs Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and gardening. She was a loving grandmother who enjoyed every moment with her grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Patterson; parents, Joseph and Opal Poteet; grandchild, Rob Patterson, and sister, Mary Ella Younes.

She is survived by her children, John William Patterson and wife Sue Ann of Cleveland, James “Bob” Robert Patterson of Bartow County, GA; grandchildren, Jennica Opperman, Kayla Sadler, Crystal Clements, Charles “Chaz” McDonald, Bryan Patterson; sister, Ruth Freeman of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews also survived.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 16, 2020 at Cedar Springs Church Cemetery with Reverend Dusty Caldwell. Pallbearers will include; Michael Wyatt, James “Bo” White, James Cartwright, Brandon Opperman, Mark Walker, Michael Hicks, and Charles “Chaz” McDonald. A white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes concluding the service.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
