Faye Imogene Liner, 74, of Calhoun, TN, passed away peacefully at her home on September 8, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on May 26, 1951, to the late H.F. and Mattie Barker, Faye lived a life full of warmth, creativity, and love. She was a devoted member of Meadowfork Baptist Church and found joy in the simple pleasures of life—working in her flower beds, creating beautiful bouquets, and making sure gravesites were always adorned with flowers.
Faye had a deep love for game shows, westerns, flea markets, and yard sales. She was also a passionate collector of Barbie dolls. But above all, she was known for her incredible baking — Nana’s cookies were to die for! She was a true “Nana” not only to her own family, but to everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James R. Liner; her son, John Liner; her parents, H.F. and Mattie Barker; seven siblings; and her granddaughter, Candace Nicole Corley.
She is survived by her children: Deborah Liner of Calhoun, Becky (Ricky) Brown of Cleveland, Betty (Paul) Corley of Florida, and Ronnie Liner of Dalton, GA. She leaves behind cherished grandchildren: Sheena Brown (Eric), Kerri Corley, Zachary Liner, and Josh Liner; and great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her brother-in-law Phil (Della) Liner, many beloved nieces and nephews, and a host of adopted grandchildren and friends.
Pallbearers will be Tyler, Hunter, Jacob, Jeff Morris and Lee Hicks. Eric Barbee will serve as honorary pallbearer.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Poole Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Poole Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Ray Ingram officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Cemetery, where Faye will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband.
Faye will be remembered for her generous spirit, loving heart, and the way she made everyone feel like family. She truly made the world a sweeter, kinder place.
