Evelyn Ruth Snyder

Evelyn Ruth Chapman Snyder, 82, of Lenior City, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2020 following a brief illness. She was born in Harriman, Tennessee, and lived most of her life in the East Tennessee. She was a follower of Jesus Christ and a member of the First Baptist Church in Lenoir City. She was an active member of the Red Hat Society. She graduated from Fort Sanders School of Nursing and worked many years in the home healthcare field. She was an avid Tennessee sports fan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren V. “Steve” Snyder; parents, Wester Doyle“Bud” Chapman and Mary Evelyn “Jean” Dayton Swafford.

She is survived by three children, B. Lewis Collings, Jr. (wife Susan), of Corpus Christi, TX, Tracy Reed (husband Jeff) of Cleveland, TN and Rebecca Burow (husband Craig) of Huntsville, AL; six grandchildren, Lindsay De La Cruz (husband Serge) of Indianapolis, IN, Hannah Collings of Austin, TX, Jacob Collings of Corpus Christi, TX, Nathan Burow of Boston, MA, Jackson Burow of Denver, CO, and Logan Hadaway (husband Colin) of Lebanon, TN; two great-grandchildren, Michaela and Solomon Hadaway of Lebanon, TN; sisters, Pricilla Greene of Charlotte, NC, Marcella Hubbell of Knoxville, TN, and Lucretia Chapman of Harriman, TN, and; brother, Ken Swafford of Harriman, TN; and step-mother, Alice Chapman of Ten Mile, TN.

There will be no visitation or service.
