Eric Evans

Robert Eric Evans, 56, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, in Cleveland, TN. Eric was born on July 21, 1966, in Danville, VA to Robert F. Lord Jr. and Elizabeth Hill. He graduated from Cleveland High School in 1984.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert F. Lord, Jr.

He is survived by his daughter, Erica Abdo (Jacob), his son, Taylor Evans; and their mother, Teresa Evans; his grandchildren, Olivia, and Jude Abdo; his mother, Betsy Evans; his brothers, Christopher Evans (Sarah), and Matthew Evans (Angela). Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Eric was a loving father and grandfather, treasured son, and a devoted friend. He was a jack of all trades and enjoyed working as a Territory Sales Manager at O’Reilly Auto Parts. His hobbies were many, but a few included fishing, hunting, caring for his three Dachshunds: Tucker, Ellie, and Gracie, telling jokes, and listening to old time rock and roll. His happiest days were the ones he spent traveling with his children to watch them race BMX, fishing with his Father in Ocean City, MD, and being the World’s Greatest Pop Pop to Olivia and Jude.

He was a member at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church where he served as an acolyte when he was younger.

Services will be held at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Cleveland, TN on July 11, 2023. Visitation will be at 2:00 P.M., followed by a garden side service at 3:00 P.M.
