Duane "John" Everett Tennyson, 80, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at a local hospital. Originally from Waukegan, Illinois, where he lived most of his life, he was a faithful member of Lakeview Church. He was known for his service to others, and one way he served others was by being a greeter at First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Vinis Tennyson; son, Brad Tennyson; siblings, Edward Tennyson and wife, Thora, Roger Tennyson, Maxine Girdley and husband, Ralph; Florence Rector and husband, Don, Dorothy Girdley and husband, Ray, Louise Gamble and husband, Stanley, Barbara Tennyson, Rita Hayman and husband, Bob, Norma Robinson and husband, John, Wilma Tennyson, Neil Tennyson and wife, Gladys, and Joyce Tennyson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Carol Tennyson; daughter, Beth Cigliano and husband, Lee of Cleveland; grandchildren, Teagan Tennyson, Torey Tennyson, Nick Cigliano, Brynna Cigliano, Caleb Cigliano; great-grandsons Donavin Tennyson, and Everett Tennyson; siblings, Marilyn Arnold of Illinois, Otto Tennyson and wife, Norma, Tim Tennyson and wife, Mary of Wisconson; several nieces and nephews also survived.
