Doris Jean Hanes

 On September 12, 2024, Doris Jean Hanes passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 95. She was born in Seatle, Washington to Oscar and Anna Alsterberg on October 1, 1928. Doris lived the vast majority of her life in the St. Marys and Bradford, Pennsylvania area. She earned her Registered Nursing certificate from the Bradford School of Nursing in 1951 and married Kenneth P. Hanes in 1953. Doris was survived in death by her husband of 71 years and her son David, along with 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Doris was proceeded in death by her parents, her daughter Brenda J Robinson and her grandson Matthew D Hanes. She was an active member of the Shiloh Presbyterian Church and enjoyed playing cards with family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her. Memorial service announcements will be made at a later date.
