Donald Randolph

Donald “Don” Randolph, 85 of Cleveland, TN passed away Monday, March 4th, 2024.

Don was born and raised in Sweetwater, TN and attended the TN Military Institute. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Tennessee and Master’s Degree from the University of Alabama. Don worked as an Engineer for Alstom, Oak Ridge, NASA, and then retired from TVA. He was a dedicated member of Pleasant Grove Community Church in Cleveland. Don enjoyed watching all types of sports but especially enjoyed the Atlanta Braves and TN Vols. He was very analytical and rarely missed his daily crossword puzzle. Don had immense integrity and will be remembered as an all around good man. He tirelessly took care of his loving wife Mary Jo and loved her dearly.

Don was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Mary Jo Randolph; son, David Randolph; parents, Charles and Amelia Randolph; and brother, Pete Randolph.

Survivors include his children: Bill (Tami) Randolph and Donna (Tim) Callihan; grandchildren: Sophie, Maddie, Hunter, and Mason; brother, Jack (Lexie) Randolph; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 10th, 2024 from 12pm until the funeral hour at 2pm in the Poole Chapel, 3000 Ralph Buckner Blvd NE Cleveland, TN, with Pastor Jim Lane officiating. Interment will follow in the West View Cemetery in Sweetwater, TN.
