It is with a heavy heart and yet with profound hope in the resurrection promise of our Lord Jesus Christ that we announce the passing of Debra Lynn Ronca, born on February 26, 1957, in the vibrant city of Manhattan, New York. She peacefully entered into the presence of her Savior on February 13, 2026, leaving behind a radiant legacy of Christ-like love, unwavering faith, and a life wholly devoted to serving others in Cleveland, Tennessee.
Debra, affectionately known to many as Mama Ronca, lived out her deep Christian faith in every aspect of her journey. As a devoted pastor’s wife for more than 30 years, she faithfully supported her husband, Benjamin, in ministry, pouring out compassion, encouragement, and the truth of the Gospel to countless lives. Her walk with Christ was marked by a genuine humility and a heart that reflected His love—never meeting a stranger, but instead seeing each person as a beloved child of God worthy of a warm embrace, a listening ear, and the hope found in Jesus. In her businesses, owning and operating Ronca’s Pizza and Papa’s Italian Bistro for many years, Mama didn’t merely serve food; she extended hospitality as an expression of Christ’s welcoming grace. Every patron who entered her doors experienced the joy of genuine connection, often through her signature hugs that carried the warmth of God’s love. For over six years, she and Benjamin shared their vision for community through Mr. Arcade, creating spaces filled with laughter, shared stories, and a sense of belonging that pointed others toward the eternal fellowship found in Christ.
Her life was a beautiful testimony to Galatians 2:20: “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.” Mama’s nurturing spirit, indomitable joy, and selfless generosity flowed from her intimate relationship with Jesus, inspiring her family, church family, and community to walk more closely with Him.
She leaves behind a cherished family that will forever treasure her example of a Christ-centered life. Her devoted husband, Benjamin Ronca, stands as her faithful partner in ministry and love. Together they raised sons—Joseph Ronca (married to Nanette), Jonathan Ronca (married to Christine), and David Ronca (married to Nikki)—and daughter Sara-Jean Suazo (married to Michael), each of whom carries forward the profound lessons of faith, love, and generosity she instilled. Her legacy shines brightly through her ten adoring grandchildren: Bella Ronca, Jonathan Ronca, Jr., Angelina Ronca, Michaela Ronca, Elizabeth Ronca, Elisha Ronca, Benjamin Ronca, Joshua Ronca, Giuseppe Ronca, and Benito Ronca, who brought her immense joy and were often the recipients of her prayers and Christ-like affection.
In honor of Debra Lynn Ronca’s faithful journey home, the community is invited to gather in celebration of her life and witness to the Gospel. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and again on Friday, February 20, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Poole Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Cleveland. A funeral service, filled with worship and remembrance of God’s faithfulness, will follow on February 20, 2026, at 7:00 PM, leading to a graveside service on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Lee Cemetery in McDonald, Tennessee.+
Mama's spirit now rests in the arms of her Savior, where she hears the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Her earthly life was a shining reflection of Christ’s love, and though she has departed this world, the eternal impact of her faith-filled walk will continue to draw others to Jesus for generations to come. In the midst of our sorrow, we rejoice in the sure hope of reunion in glory, where every tear is wiped away and faith becomes sight.
