David Cooper Newman

David Cooper Newman, 80, passed away Friday, August 4, 2023, at a local healthcare facility. He was born in Cleveland, TN, and lived here his entire life. David retired from First Tennessee Bank also remembered by many as Cleveland Bank & Trust, after 40+ years.   He loved to golf, and was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was a loving father and grandfather that will be dearly missed by all who loved him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Newman; his parents, Pryor and Hazel Newman; his brother, Thomas Pryor Newman; and his sister, Sarah Shouse.

He is survived by his two children, Brian Newman (Lisa), and Mike Newman (Gena Strickland), both of Cleveland, TN; and four grandchildren, Andrew Newman, Taylor and wife Autumn Newman, Caitlyn Lynn, and Kayla Piper Brown (Cameron); two great grandchildren Trenton Brown and Cooper Isaiah; Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.
