David Dean Jones

David Dean Jones, 55, of Cleveland, passed away at his residence on Thursday, November 3, 2022 surrounded by his family. He was born in Fontana, California, and a proud Veteran of the U.S. Navy.

David loved being on the water and fishing. If you didn’t catch him on or in the water, you could find him enjoying live music, a great comedy show, good cuisine and dancing without a care in the world or if anyone was watching. On any day you could ask him anything about any sport and he could tell you about it, especially if it was about those Tennessee VOLS. He was a hat and sunglasses enthusiast with an incredible sense of style in shoes. David was great with words and making everyone in his presence feel safe and loved. His smile and laugh were the brightest and most beautiful ever seen. It filled his heart to bring joy to others and make them laugh. Not only did he spend his life serving his country and his community, but David also served the Lord dutifully and faithfully. “Faith over fear”. He was truly an angel on Earth.  Now he has his wings and is watching over all of us.

He is survived by his loving wife of 8 years, Tracy Sue Norquest Jones; six children, Brittany Jones, Tyson Jones, Chelsey Lewis, Kallie Strode, Cheyenne Strode and Dillon Strode; three grandchildren, Austin Jones, Kiedyn Sedillo, and Jackson Lewis; father, David Grant Jones and wife Leslie; mother, Cheryl Rose Matava Jones; one sister, Kristina Jones; two nieces and a nephew, Katelyn Hanshew, Amanda Hanshew, Brody Ladd.

A celebration of his life will be held at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, November 6, 2022, at Church Alive Ministries, 6315 Mouse Creek RD NW, Cleveland, Tennessee with Reverend Bob Malone officiating.   Military honors will conclude the service.
