David Curtis Lee Hodge
David Curtis Lee Hodge, 79, of Decatur, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2022 at his home. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and attended First Baptist Church. He served in Vietnam with the Second Armored Division, and was retired from Astec, in Chattanooga, where he worked as a pipefitter. He was an avid car enthusiast with Falcon Club of America.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Ruby Hodge, and his sisters, Sybil Duggan and Mary Ruth Kelley.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Joyce Curtis Hodge; a son, Mike Hodge (Tiffany) of Cleveland; a daughter, Alice O’Daniel (Keith) of Dunkirk, MD; three grandchildren, Brianna O’Daniel of Shady Side, MD, Brian O’Daniel II, of Eglin AFB, FL, and Lynlee Hodge, of Cleveland; three siblings, Larry Hodge, Joan Freeman, and Faye Dobbs, all of Cleveland; and his lifelong friend, James Carolee Morrow of Maryville. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2022. A celebration of life will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Reverend Richard Mason officiating. All services will be held at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and Crematory in Cleveland, TN.
Interment will be on Thursday December 29, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
