Clinton “CJ” Donald Jacques
Clinton Donald Jacques, known to his loved ones as CJ, passed away on September 30, 2023, at the age of 32 in Cleveland, TN. He was born on June 25, 1991, in Chattanooga, TN. CJ was a bright and energetic man who had a passion for life and a wide range of interests.
In his free time, CJ enjoyed trail riding in the mountains with his beloved dog, hiking, and riding his bike to various events, where he would meet up with friends. He found joy in the outdoors and embraced the thrill of adventure.
CJ was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his parents, Chris and Cheryl Jacques, his sister Caitlin Jacques, and his grandfather John Jacques. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Dennis and Deanna Goins, Susie Rentz, Donnie and Bailey Goins as well as his cousins Jay and Charlotte Goins, Emily and Madison Rentz. CJ was preceded in death by his grandmother Ann Goins, grandmother Penny Jacques, grandfather Jack Goins, and his cousins Amy and Tim Morgan.
CJ attended Prospect Elementary for his primary education and later graduated from Walker Valley High School. He furthered his education at MTSU for one year.
Dedicated to serving his country, CJ proudly served in the Army from 2011 to 2014. His military associations were an important part of his life and shaped him into the disciplined and courageous person he became.
Professionally, CJ had a successful career in CMC metal fabrication. He was known for his exceptional skills and dedication to his craft.
In addition to his military service and career, CJ had a passion for hobbies such as trail riding, hiking, kayaking, and motorcycle riding. These activities allowed him to immerse himself in the thrill of adventure and connect with the beauty of nature.
A celebration of CJ's life will be held at the Cleveland Elk's Lodge from 1 to 4 PM on October 8, 2023, located at 235 2nd St. NE, Cleveland, TN 37311. Funeral services will take place at the National Cemetery in Chattanooga, with the date and time to be determined.
CJ will be remembered as a vibrant soul who brought joy and laughter to those around him. His adventurous spirit and kind heart will forever be cherished by his family and friends. May he rest in peace.
