Claudette Mowrer

Claudette Mowrer, 80, passed away Monday, June 5, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Quebec, Canada and had lived in the Cleveland area for the last 35 years. Claudette was a smart, caring, and loving mother. She was a member of Westwood Baptist Church, and was retired from Collegedale Lab, where she worked as a bookkeeper.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin E. Mowrer, to whom she was married 46 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Doreen Griffith of Cleveland; her step-son, Colan Mowrer (Kathy) of NC; and her grandson, Dylan Griffith, of Ooltewah.

A celebration of her life will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 12, 2023 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Nolan Phillips officiating.  Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 12, 2023 at the funeral home, prior to the service.
