With deep love and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Chanchalben Chaturbhai Patel, also known as “Ba,” who left us peacefully at the age of 103. She was born on March 17, 1922, in Jagudan, India, and most recently resided in Cleveland, Tennessee. She was the youngest of three siblings and later married Chaturbhai Ishwardas Patel in Paliyad Gham. Ba first came to America in 1985. Ba lived a life filled with love, shared her heart with warmth, and brought joy to everyone around her. Each morning, she greeted the day with a cup of coffee. Her simple joys in life included white cheddar popcorn, a daily Starburst candy, and the company of those she loved. She was adored by all who knew her. Her presence brought comfort and joy in ways words can never fully capture. Her smile lit up every room, and her joyful spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Ba was sharp, quick-witted, and never missed a chance to playfully tease those around her. We loved joking with her, teasing her, and hearing her clever comebacks. From playing her favorite board games like Ahmedabad to cherishing time with family, she brought joy, laughter, tradition, and memories we will treasure forever. She lived a long, full, and meaningful life, and we are forever grateful for the time we were blessed to share with her.
She is lovingly remembered by her sons: Natvarbhai (Hiraben), Dashrathbhai (Vidhyaben), Sureshbhai (Vijayantiben), Dipak (Mina), and Hasmukh (Panna); She is lovingly remembered by her daughters: the late Lilaben (Prahladas), Jyotsna (Govindlal), and Kokilaben. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Devendra (Manisha), Chetan (Rashmi), Mita (Dhimantkumar), Amit (Nita), Shital (Nitinkumar), Atul (Rupa), Vaishali (Kalpeshkumar), Saurin (Aarti), Harsh (Chandani), Arjun (Ruchi), Arzu, Heet, Daksha (Rasiklal), Varsha (late Kaushikkumar), Hemant (Kamini), Lalit (Jayna), Chirag (Nika), Roshni (Vikeshkumar), Dipa (Bonnykumar), and Ravi (Bhumika).
May her soul rest in eternal peace. We love you always, Ba. Thank you for the love and support shown to our family during this time.
