Cecil Norton Bail

Cecil Norton Bail, 87 of Cleveland, TN passed away Saturday, February 17th, 2024.

He was born July 19, 1936 to Orin and Lyda Bail.  Cecil married Joan on August 7, 1959. They were married for 61 years before she went home to be with the Lord. 

He has lived the last nineteen years in Cleveland, TN after moving here in 2005 with his beloved wife Joan Bail. 

Cecil Graduated High school in southern Ohio. Cecil is a U.S. Air Force Veteran who served as a plane mechanic from 1954-1958 in Okinawa. Once Cecil retired from the Air Force, he took a job that required him to travel, allowing them to spend many years overseas in Argentina and South Africa.

Cecil loved woodworking, building, fishing, and working in his yard alongside Joan. He was also an avid model plane and train builder. Cecil would cheer on the Tennessee Volunteers each weekend and watch baking competitions with family.

He is survived by his children Tamra Bail and Denise Burch of Cleveland, Dennis (Amy) of Kentucky, Samantha (Jesse) Stone of Calhoun, Chris Ford (Becky) of Calhoun, and Josh Ford of Gautier, MS.

Cecil was blessed with six grandchildren Shelbi (Josh), Brittani (Cameron), Nathan (Shelbie), Sarah (Joseph), Destiny, and Laney.  He was blessed beyond measure with fourteen great grandchildren.

Cecil is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, and his beloved wife. 

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 26th, 2024 from 12pm until the service hour at 1pm in the Westmore Church of God at 2440 Legacy Pkwy NW Cleveland, TN 37312. Inurnment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens.
