Catherine Kerr, age 88, a resident of Cleveland, passed peacefully in her home surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 in Cleveland, TN. She was a retiree of Cleveland High School cafeteria and a lifelong resident of Cleveland. Catherine loved her many children and grandchildren and was a faithful member of the East Side Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claiborne Kerr, Jr.; her parents, Robert and Margie Kate Quinn; and six brothers and one sister.
She is survived by her three daughters, Belinda and Bobby Carlock, Deborah and Lester Johnson, Karrie and Russell Hyatt and her two sons, Randy and Molly Kerr and Ty Kerr. Catherine had thirty grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is survived by two sisters, Willie Ann Szabo and Kay Halliburton; a special niece, Barbara Staples, as well as numerous other nieces and nephews and beloved family.
A celebration of her life will be held in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home on Monday, October 17, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. with Minister Bill Maynard officiating. Committal Service will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rick Staples, Dennis Renner, Tommy Richmond, Jamie Dias, Grey Gobble, and Christopher Kerr serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes will conclude the service.
Friends may call from 10:00-12:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service on Monday.
