Caroline Overa Phillips

Caroline Phillips, age 81, a lifelong resident of Bradley County, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 26, 2025. She was a faithful member at the East Side Church of Christ and the devoted wife of the late Bobby Phillips for 50 years. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was best know for her pleasant and optimistic personality, always very sweet, thoughtful, kind and caring that everyone enjoyed being around. She was a wonderful cook and loved taking care of those she loved.

Caroline was the daughter of the late Mayburn Wooten and Opal Quinn Wooten. She was also proceeded in death by her daughters, Pamela Gail and Robin Overa Phillips, brother Crawford Wooten, sister June Hudock, and grandson Aaron Leek.

She is survived by her daughter, April Phillips Johnson and son Timothy Phillips both of Cleveland, sisters Pat Owens of Cleveland and Connie Lampkin of Louisville, KY, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 3, 2025 at 3:00 in the afternoon at Poole Funeral Home at 3000 Ralph Buckner Blvd in Cleveland with Preacher Bill Maynard officiating.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 2, 2025 from 6-8PM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Blake Tacy, Gene Roberts, Mike and Mark Owens, Casey and Brandon Maynard.
