Carla Ann Magoria Smith, 77, died peacefully at home in Cleveland, TN on September 1, 2020. She was born in San Francisco, CA on November 7, 1942 to Carlo Joseph Magoria and Cleora Clara Laurence Magoria. Carla spent a great deal of her childhood in the Bay Area where she eventually met and married her husband, David Allen Smith of 57 years. They lived in Hoover, Alabama for many years raising their family before retiring to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and finally East Tennessee.

She was a devoted wife and mother to her three sons. She spent many hours volunteering with the Cub Scouts other scouting activities as well as the Marching Band at W.A. Berry High School. As part owner/operator for Hiwassee Outfitters, Carla spent many summers working alongside her family on the banks of the beautiful Hiwassee State Scenic River.

Carla is survived by her husband, David and her three children: Carlo J. Smith (Julie) Maryville, TN, Michael D. Smith (Devona) Cleveland, TN and Stephen L. Smith (Dawn) Ocoee, TN. She is also survived by her five grandchildren and two step-grandchildren: Benjamin Smith, Daniel Smith, Sarah Smith, Addison Smith, Brant Smith, Sebastian Felicidario and Melissa West. She was also close to her brother's wife Marti Magoria and her long-time friend and later sister-in-law Ruth Cook. Carla was predeceased by her parents and brother, Richard L. Magoria.
