Bobby Allen Perry, 53, of Cleveland, went home to be with our Lord and Savior, on Monday October 31, 2022.
His family and friends called him by many names. He was known as “Booge", "Coach", but the most important name of all was “Dad”. He loved his 3 boys like nothing else in this world. To be his friend meant that you were a part of his family. His impeccable memory of sports statistics was unmatched by any other, also coupled with his ability to tell a story and account for all details that may or may not have been accurate. His favorite pastimes were anything sports related and leading his little league teams in the Championships. His inability to be physically active would have never been mistaken for his ability to coach or lead. He never missed an opportunity to strike up a conversation with a total stranger and in the process made everyone feel special and important. If he could leave us any words of wisdom, it would be to never miss an opportunity to tell those in your life that you love them and how much they mean to you.
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Perry; and step-brother, Jason Centers.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Sharm Perry; sons, Kolton Perry (Kristi) of Cleveland, Kris Poe (Kandyce) of Cleveland, and Brody Perry of Cleveland; mother, Wanda Roper (Marvin Centers) of Cleveland; stepmother, Melba Perry of Cleveland; two sisters, Donna Ellis (Dennis) of Cleveland and Connie Hendrix (John) of Knoxville; grandchildren, Aaleyah Hendrix, Shay Hendrix, and Lexie Wade; step-siblings, Connie, Ellie, Becky, Ronnie and Lisa. He had several special nieces and nephews, McCall Horton (Tim) of Knoxville, Haley Greene (Greg) of Cleveland, Blake Ellis (Ginger) of Cleveland; and several special great nephews and niece, Greysen (Biscuit), Archie (Rowdy), Hunter (Pretty Boy), Carson, and Rosie. He was loved by two special cousins, Bug and Pency. He was always accompanied by his two special sidekicks, Pepper and Molly.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2022 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and Crematory with a special message by his long time friend Taylor Gobble. Prior to the service, there will be a gathering of friends and family from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
