Billy Ray Herron

Billy Ray Herron, age 84, a resident of Cleveland, passed away on Friday, December 4, 2020 at a local assisted living facility. He had lived in Cleveland his entire life. Billy served our country in the Army during the Korean War. He loved his family very much, and will be missed by all who knew him.

Billy was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Herron.

Billy is survived by his wife, Betty Dean Frazier Herron; children, Mikel Lynn Herron, James Ray Herron; step-children, Joe Rutledge, Jimmy Rutledge, all of Cleveland; two brothers; one sister; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 6, 2020 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Samples Cemetery. A white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes will conclude. Due to the National Pandemic the service will be live streamed on Ralph Buckner Funeral Home Facebook Page.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2020.
