Bill E. Boddy
Bill E. Boddy, 90, a resident of Signal Mountain, passed away December 11, 2022 at a local retirement community surrounded by his loving family. He was a 22-year resident of this area and a veteran of the U.S. Army who served in the Korean War. He was of the Seventh-Day Adventist faith and was a long-term member of Bowman Hills Seventh-Day Adventist Church. He retired from the Adventist Healthcare System where he worked as Human Resources and Personnel Director. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and was the Best Dad Ever.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clovis Almon and Capitola Whatley Boddy; a brother, Wallace Boddy; and two sisters, Judy Watkins and Wanda Johnson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Lorene Mitchell Boddy; a son, Keith Boddy (Valerie) of Lakesite; a daughter, Gayle Clark (Bryan) of Cleveland; three grandchildren, Ryan Clark of Nashville, Nick Clark (Beth) of Streeter, North Dakota, and Kylie Hand (Sidney) of Cleveland; four great-grandchildren, Layla and Lucas Clark, and Lilli and Luci Hand; and a sister, Linda Robinson of Camp Hill, Alabama. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A graveside service, conducted by Pastor Troy McDougal, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 13, 2022, in the Collegedale Cemetery with full military honors.
