Barbara Ann Goins

Mrs. Barbara Ann Thomas Goins of Calhoun, TN passed away on August 16, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Maynard Thomas and Else B. Hardin Thomas.  Born in Cleveland, TN on July 31^st, she attended Bradley High School.  She was a member of the Lamontville, Baptist Church.  She was retired from Zales Diamond Store.  She loved gardening, cooking, and spending time with family, but most of all, taking care of her grandchildren.  She devoted her life to helping others in need.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Gene W. Goins of Calhoun; her sons, Randy L. Goins and Greg G Goins of Calhoun; grandson Chad A. Phillips; and three brothers, Maynard Jr, Eddie Dean, and Danny Ray Thomas; and one sister, Nancy Gail Helton.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Bryan K. Goins of Calhoun, TN; her daughter Shelia E. Arcara Tony of Fayetteville, NC; her son Tony Goins and wife Yvonne of Calhoun, TN; her sisters, Carolyn Andrews of Augusta, GA; Phyllis Castello of Cleveland, TN; and Vickie Baker of Loganville, GA; her grandchildren:  Rachel, Cristy, Holly, Chasidy, Stephanie, Emily, Meriah, Faith, Anthony, Evan, Chase, Caroline, Bryson, and Brayanna; and her great grandchildren: Alexis, Isaiah, Austin, Cody, Jacob, Ronnie, Olivia, Jax, Ava, Liam, Layla, Carson, Carlyann, and Carrisa.

A Celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 20, 2021 at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Rev. Donny Mattila officiating. 

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home prior to the service.
