Ashlie Bonin Childers

Ashlie Bonin Childers, 36, of Cleveland, passed away on October 29, 2019.  She was a wife, mom, gifted singer, and true worshiper.  She adored her children, loved her husband, and brought so much joy to her family and friends.  She did everything with excellence and care.  The impact she made on those around her will be both missed and treasured.

Born in Akron, Ohio, and from Hartville, Ohio, Ashlie was a member of the Redemption Point Church in Ooltewah where she and her husband served in leadership.  She was founder of Photography by ABC and worked for the Communications Department of the Church of God International Offices.

Ashlie was preceded in death by her infant son, John David Childers.

Cherishing the memories of Ashlie are her husband, Jeremy, and their two daughters, Austyn and Autumn of Cleveland; mother, LaVonne Bonin, Columbus, Ohio; father, David Bonin of Berea, Ohio; sisters, Melissa Wooten of Cincinnati and her husband, Derek, Lindy Bonin of Cincinnati; father and mother-in-law John D. and Debbie Childers of Cleveland; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jonathan and Vanessa Childers of Chattanooga; and several nieces and nephews also survive.  

Ashlie recently posted the following on her Facebook page, which encapsulated her life and relationship with her savior, Jesus Christ:  “Trust goes beyond faith. Faith is believing God for something.  Holding tightly to His hand and His promises.  Trust is holding tightly to His hand regardless of any hopes of receiving anything tangible for it.  Trust is saying "God, I love you even though none of this makes sense and I feel like I've lost.  I'm still going forward WITH YOU and FOR YOU.  Even if it never makes sense to me."  God is moved by that.  It's powerful in His sight when you choose to trust.  And He ALWAYS honors trust. Rest assured of that!!  Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus.”

A celebration of Ashlie’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 4, 2019, at North Cleveland Church of God with Dr. Tim Hill, Rhonda Holland, Travis Ballinger, and the Bonin family conducting the service.  Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at Redemption Point Church, 3831 Ooltewah-Ringgold Road, Ooltewah, TN 37363, and on Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to the service at the North Cleveland Church of God.
