Ann Katherine Grieve Bishop, 75, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, November 18, 2019 at her home. She was born in Connecticut and had lived in the Cleveland area for 53 years. She retired from Maytag with 23 years of service. She was of the Episcopalian faith. She loved gardening, the New England Patriots and “Tom Terrific”; Corvettes, adored Christmas and decorating, and she was loyal to the very end.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Grieve and Viola Phillips Grieve.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Wayne Fletcher Bishop; four children, Robin Ann Dixon and husband Mark of Cleveland, Pamela Dawn Bishop of Cleveland, Brian Andrew Bishop of Cleveland; and Christine Bishop Harris and husband David of Huntersville, NC; three grandchildren, Shelby Ann Bishop, Ashley Morgan Harris, and Bailey Ann Harris; two great grandchildren, Carlee Weir and Knox Bishop; two brothers, Dennis Grieve and wife Marilyn, of Washington, NC, and Thomas Grieve and wife Rene of Asheville, NC; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2019 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes to conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 p.m. on Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.
