Angelea Ruth Sharpton, lovingly known as “GiGi,” passed away on December 3, 2025, at the age of 57. Born on July 2, 1968, Angelea lived a life filled with laughter, boldness, and unwavering love for her family.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Sharpton; Grand Parents, SC and Ruth Sharpton, Richard and Ora Bain; Grandsons, Trent Corvin and Bain Palmer.
Angelea leaves behind her devoted parents, Kent and Evelyn Sharpton; her husband, Michael Strozier; her daughters, Shanna (Ernie) Corvin and Megan Sharpton (Tyler); and her beloved grandchildren, Ashtyn Corvin, Braelyne Ledford, Lydia Cross, Jayden Mantooth, and Sam Mantooth. She also leaves behind countless extended family members and lifelong friends who will forever cherish her memory.
To know Angelea was to know a spirit that was loud, proud, and full of life. She embraced every day with energy and heart—whether she was soaking up time with her grandchildren, caring for her parents, or convincing Mike to join her on spontaneous road trips. Her presence lit up every room, and her love was felt deeply by all who knew her.
The family request at the memorial service that everyone please wear Tie-Dye, Tennessee or Native American apparel.
The service date and time will be announced in the very near future.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association in Angelea’s honor.
