Albert Kemp

Albert Harold Kemp, 82, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2020, at a local assisted living facility.  He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. He served in the Air Force for 20 years and served during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed rv-ing, travelling, and was known for ensuring each job he did was perfect.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents Melvin and Sadie Kemp; brothers Roy Kemp, Delwin Kemp, David Kemp and Frank Kemp and sisters Sandra Kemp, Gertrude Simmons, and Denise Kemp; grandchildren Barry and Kevin.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Copeman Kemp; children: Ginger Bussey and husband Bill of Austin, TX, Melvin Kemp and wife Beverly of Amory, Miss., Carl Kemp of Cookeville, TN; stepdaughters, Cindy Binder and husband John of Mandan, ND, Sonya Seeley of Fredricks, Md.; brother, Donald Kemp; sisters, Beverly Kemp, and Ethel Simmons; grandchildren, Emily, Jason, Olivia, and Abby-Gail; great-grandchildren Sotori, Jack, Mason, Allison, and Graham; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his life will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday October 3, 2020 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Campbell officiating. Interment will follow at Shiloh Baptist Church. A white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes will conclude the service.
