Douglas M. Powers

Douglas M. Powers, 74, of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2017 at a Chattanooga healthcare facility.  He retired from the Parks & Recreation Department with the city of Cleveland.  Doug was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Sallie Melinda Sims Powers; two brothers; and one sister.

Survivors include his sister, Beulah Powers Hicks; and several nieces and nephews.

A service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with the Reverend David O’Neal officiating.  Interment will follow in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.

His family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
