Roy Boring, 96, of Cleveland passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at the family residence. He was a member of North Cleveland Baptist Church for over 60 years where he served as a deacon for many years. Mr. Boring was a partner in B&B Supply, B&B Food Center and later in BC Sales Company. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Heifner Boring; parents, Joseph A. and Mildred Kirkpatrick Boring; brothers, Elmer Boring and Joseph W. Boring; and sister, Willie Mae Whiteside.
Survivors include his children, Thomas L. Boring and wife Linda and Elaine Curtis and husband Terry all of Cleveland; grandchildren, Brad Boring, Jamie Curtis, and Dustin Curtis all of Cleveland; great grandchild, Nazareth Curtis of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2018 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Dr. Jay McCluskey officiating. Interment will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
His family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
