Evelyn E. Miller Wood
November 2, 1924 — July 19, 2018
Evelyn E. Miller Wood, 93 of Cleveland passed away Thursday, July 19, 2018, in a local health care facility. She moved here in 1954 from Canton, NC. Mrs. Wood was a member of First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Wood; parents, John Garfield Miller and Nancy Hipps Miller; daughter, Susan Jeanne Chavis Bofink; grandson, Thomas Clay Chavis; sister, Elsie Childers; and two brothers, Carl Miller and Elmer Miller.
Survivors include her daughter, Theresa Jane Sheely and husband, Percy of Cleveland; grandchildren, David Sheely and wife, Jennifer of Cleveland and Stephanie Jane Shipp of Nashville; two great grandchildren, Emma Chavis and Hannah Grace Sheely; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2018, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pastor Tom Wickes officiating.
