Dennis L. Jarrett

Dennis L. Jarrett, 62, of Cleveland, passed away Friday morning, August 3, 2018 in an Etowah health care facility. He was a veteran of the United States Army.  Dennis retired from Georgia Pacific after 30 years of service.  He was a lifelong member of the Price Memorial AME Zion Church where he was a Sunday school teacher, choir member and chairman of the trustee board. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin W. Jarrett and Ruth Redding Jarrett; brother, Gilbert Jarrett; and daughter, Angelica Renee’ Jarrett.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Jarrett of Cleveland; children Nova (Jim) Nahill of Cleveland, Amber (Patrick) Boyd of East Ridge and Latisha Chee of Washington State; five sisters, Brenda Jarrett, Waynetta Taylor and Barbara Jean Pugh, all of Cleveland and Purnella McCleary and Marie Berry, both of Charleston; brother, Calvin Jarrett of Waterbury, CT; four grandchildren, including Ethan Brewer; and several nephews and nieces.

The funeral will be conducted in the chapel of Fike-Randolph and Son Funeral Home at 5:00 on Sunday, August 5, 2018, with the Rev. Teresa Oglesby officiating.

His family will receive friends from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service.
