Fred W. Mayo Sr.
February 23, 1938 — November 23, 2018
Fred W. Mayo Sr., 80, of Cleveland, passed away Friday, November 23, 2018 at his residence. He worked for Maytag for 49 years, and was a member of the Shiners Lodge in Chattanooga. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents Fletcher L. Mayo and Ruth Farmer Mayo; children Randy Mayo and Karen Mayo Bates; brothers Richard and Jimmy Mayo.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years Dianne Mayo of Cleveland; children Wayne and Gail Mayo of Cleveland; grandchildren Chris and Samantha Mayo of Cleveland, Michael Mayo of Cleveland, Jennifer Mayo Boito and Mike of Hastings, FL and Miranda Mayo of Hixson; great grandchildren Hayden Mayo of Cleveland, Jake, Julia, and Jordan Boito all of Hastings, FL; brothers George Mayo, Bill and Glenda Mayo of Harrison; several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral will be conducted in the chapel of Fike-Randolph and Son Funeral Home Tuesday November 27, 2018 at 11:00 am with Pastor David Peters officiating. Interment will follow at Hilcrest Memorial Gardens.
His family will receive friends from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Monday, November 26, 2018 at the funeral home.
