Beatrice Sue Hughes

Beatrice Sue Hughes, 78, a life-long resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday, February 1, 2019 at an Athens health care facility.  She was a member of Prospect Church of God.  She enjoyed working with her flowers, loved gardening and liked to shop.  She was a devoted mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dames Shorty Hughes; parents, Herman Lee Harden and Frances Powell Harden and sister Margaret Parnell.

She is survived by her daughter, Darlene Looney and husband, Charles and son, Dale Hughes; grandchildren, Laura Bowers, Ashley Wise-Mitchell and Amber Pickle; three great-grandchildren and sister, Doris Biddle.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Fike-Randolph and Son Funeral Home with Pastor Kenneth Bowers and Pastor Sammy Hughes officiating.  Interment will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at the funeral home.
