Michael E. Stalans, Sr.

Michael E. Stalans, Sr., 53, of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at his home.  He was a truck driver with Estes Express for 23 years.  Michael was of the Baptist faith.  He was a beloved father, brother and son and was loved by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy Leroy Stalans and Ruby Kate McGuffey Stalans; and brother-in-law, Gary Barrett.

Survivors include his son, Michael E. Stalans II of Cleveland; the mother of his son, Abby Cooley Eakin of Cleveland; four sisters, Maraline Barrett, Debbie (Jay) Lindsey and Christi (Rob) Fightmaster, all of Maryville and Sandy (Randy) Slagle of Alcoa; and several nephews and one great nephew.

A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

The family suggests that memorials be made in Michael’s memory to:  Tennessee Oncology, 2390 N. Ocoee Street, Cleveland TN 37311.
