Etheleen Rymer Hamby

July 15, 1923 — November 7, 2005

Etheleen Rymer Hamby, age 82, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, November 7, 2005 in a local healthcare facility. She was a member of Clingan Ridge Baptist Church where she was a member of the Young at Heart Sunday School Class and also participated in the XYZ?s. Before her retirement, she worked as a seamtress with Hardwick Clothes. She was the daughter of the late Daniel and Easter Hale Rymer and was also preceded in death by her husband, John L. Hamby, four sisters: Kathleen Gibson, Mary Lou Rymer, Mattie Bell Lawson and Velma Singleton; and four brothers: Hubert Rymer, George Rymer, John Lee Rymer and Leonard Rymer. She is survived by three sisters-in-law: Irene Disney, Yevonne Olson and Ruby Rymer, all of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Ricky Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with the release of a flock of white doves concluding the service. Chip Rymer, Heath Works, Chester Williams, Tanner Works, Simon Hartness and Bethel Lawson will serve as pallbearers. Her family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
