William Farrell Trotter

August 4, 1942 — January 3, 2006

William "Farrell" Trotter, age 63, passed away Tuesday evening, January 3, 2006 at a hospital in Dalton, Georgia. Farrell was a life long resident of Cleveland, Tennessee where he attended school at Bradley High School. Farrell also served with the United States Air Force where he was stationed in Turkey for about a year of his military time. Farrell was an avid golfer, but above all else he loved his family. He was a member of the South Cleveland United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Violet Trotter; and grandparents, Will and Elizabeth Trotter, and Harry and Icie Murphy. He is survived by his wife of twenty two years, Karen Trotter of Cleveland; two daughters, Cindy Sandlan, and Elisa and husband Daniel Porter all of Cleveland; three grandchildren: Shayna Sandlan, Ethan Porter and Emily Porter all of Cleveland; three step-children, Aaron Frankhouser of Hickory, North Carolina, Eric Frankhouser and spouse, Joy Frankhouser of Hickory, North Carolina, Georgette Frankhouser of Cleveland; five step-grandchildren: Erica Frankhouser of Hickory, North Carolina, Frannie Frankhouser, Johnny Frankhouser, Jimmy Frankhouser and Jessie Frankhouser; step great-grandchild, Weston Raffenisbarger; three brothers and spouses: Darrell and Polly Trotter of Dalton, Georgia, Jerry and Nancy Trotter, and Harold and Pam Trotter all of Cleveland; one sister and spouse: Bernice and Johnny Barham of Cleveland; and several nieces , nephews and cousins also survive. A memorial service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Friday, January 6, 2006 at the South Cleveland United Methodist Church with Reverend Herbert Conley and Reverend Scott Adkins officiating. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. His family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home. The family will also receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at South Cleveland United Methodist Church. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 519 East 4th Street, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37403.
