Ester Still

April 5, 1924 — April 16, 2006

Esther Ownbey Still, age 82, a lifelong resident of Bradley County, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2006 at her home. During World War II she worked as a welder in Oak Ridge. She was employed at Hardwick Stove Company and also worked at Bradley Memorial Hospital as an LPN for a number of years. She was a former member of the Taylors Home Demonstration Club for many years. She was a member of Thompson Springs Baptist Church for 70 years where she was an active member of the WMU. Her parents, Frank and Sula Dempsey Ownbey, preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Robert K. Still of Cleveland; one son, Robert F. Still and wife Joyce of Cleveland; one daughter, Sue Ann Passman and husband John of Ball Ground, GA; five grandchildren: Jeff Still, Sheila Elrod, both of Cleveland, John Passman of Marietta, GA, Phil Passman of Collierville, and Lori Markley of Marietta, GA; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters: Frankie Wolgamott, Betty Ballard, both of Cleveland, and Nancy Chastain of Charleston; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Joe White, Pastor Steve Wolgamott and Jeff Still officiating. Interment will follow in Union Grove Church of Christ Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 5 ? 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
