Lucia Vallejo

Lucia Miranda Vallejo, lovingly known to everyone as "Mamachita", passed away Saturday afternoon in a local hospital at the age of 84. She was a native of Quito, Ecuador, South America. She was a resident of Cleveland and a member of St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, George E. Vallejo, Sr., one son, Jorge Vallejo Andrade, and two grandchildren, Jorge Vallejo Franco and Brian Vallejo and four brothers and two sisters of Ecuador. Survivors include five daughters, Lucy Vallejo, Terry Farmer and Tommy, María Vallejo, Faby Vallejo Prince and Macarena Vallejo all of Cleveland. Five sons, Efrain Vallejo and Esmeralda of Ecuador, Gustavo Vallejo and Carmen, Alex Vallejo and Valerie, George Vallejo, Jr. and Carrie Matthews of Cleveland, and Joe Vallejo and Sandy of Clarksville, TN. Twenty-five grandchildren, Ruth Quiñones, Betty Cabanilla, Nancy Cabanilla of Ecuador, Jeaneth Anderson, Veronica Harris, Lourdes Vallejo of Cleveland, Fernando Vallejo, Mario Vallejo of Ecuador, Tommy Thomas, Katrina Farmer Ron, Christopher Farmer of Cleveland, Freddy Rodriguez of California, Michelle Rosellini of Cleveland, Cecilia Nieves of New York, Robin Harrold of Athens, Tim Vallejo of Knoxville, Lucia Vallejo, of Cleveland, Miguel Kosack of Florida, Jason Koscak of Cleveland, Tiffany Hicks, André Vallejo of Cleveland, Ja Vallejo of Clarksville, Shellie Vallejo of Chattanooga, Anthony Vallejo and George Vallejo III of Cleveland; twenty-five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, special family friends, Marcela Castaneda, Oscar Gosso, and Olivia and José Parillia. Funeral Mass will be conducted at 12:00 PM Tuesday at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church with Fathers Joseph J. Brando and Alex Waraksa officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Gustavo Vallejo, Alex Vallejo, Joe Vallejo, George Vallejo, Jr., Tommy Thomas, Christopher Farmer, Ja Vallejo, and Rodrigo Ron serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers Freddy Rodriguez, Tim Vallejo, André Vallejo, Anthony Vallejo, George Vallejo III and Tommy Farmer. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-9 PM at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with a 7:00 PM Rosary.
