Robert T. McBride, Jr., 70, of Cleveland, passed away Friday, September 12, 2014, at his home. He was a graduate of University of South Dakota with a degree in Mathematics. He retired as a Lt. Colonel from the U. S. Army Reserve following 26 years of service. He was retired from Merck in Cleveland. He was a parishioner at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church where he was involved with the Three Kings Feast for many years and was also an active member of the Knights of Columbus until his health began to fail.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert T. Sr. and Mary Mertes McBride; and two brothers: Brian McBride and Patrick McBride.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Barbara McBride of Cleveland; three children: Robert McBride III of Phoenix, AZ, Christopher McBride and wife Robin of Vicksburg, MS, and Amy Bundy and husband Dave of Austin, MN; five grandchildren: Tyler Bundy, Ian Bundy, Dylan McBride, Hunter McBride and Jack McBride; three brothers: Mike McBride, Tim McBride and Phil McBride; four sisters: Judy Funke, Mary Margaret McBride, Maureen Hair and Shawn Pyles; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church with Father Mike Nolan officiating. Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Sioux City, Iowa, at a later date.

His family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m. Monday at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
