Erma Jean “Nannie” Dixon, 93, of Ocoee, TN, passed away Friday, May 23, 2014 at a Chattanooga hospital. She was of the Church of Christ faith. She had worked in retail sales at Penguin Auto Sound and Security.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dudley and Lucy Derek White; husband, Seldon Dixon; brother, Dudley “Snookey” White; and sisters, Sybil Morgan and Zida Mae Lea.
She is survived by her beloved cat and constant companion, Lucy; one son, Mark Dixon and wife Dawn of Cleveland; two grandchildren, Cydney Dixon and Cayci Koeneman; two step-grandchildren, Tyler Ownbey and Ashley Bryan; four great-grandchildren, Juliet Koeneman, Annalee Bryan, Alora Bryan, and Isabella Bryan; one sister, Annette Gatlin of Ocoee, TN; one brother, Kenneth “Toddy” White of Benton, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2014 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Ed Earl officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at the funeral home prior to the service.
