Bobbie June Pendergrass Cordell, 70, a resident of Chatsworth, Ga, passed away in a Dalton healthcare facility. She was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Cordell was the daughter of the late Luther Pendergrass and Mary Ruth Pendergrass and was also preceded in death by her sons, David Cordell and Clarence Cordell; three siblings, Joe Pendergrass, Nancy Clark and Della Sue Myers.
She is survived by her five children: Frank Cordell of Pensacola, Florida, Timothy Cordell and wife, Jeanette Cordell of Chatsworth, GA, John Cordell and wife, Annie of Chatsworth, GA, and Rhonda Cordell Clark and husband, Wayne of Mobile, Alabama; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Opal Orear and husband, Harry “C” Orear, Jr. of Chattanooga, TN; one brother, Allen Pendergrass of Spartanburg, SC; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 2, 2014 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Josh Cornelius officiating.
Interment will follow in McInturf Cemetery with Pete Meyers, Doug Scroggins, Michael Cordell, Joey Clark, Peter Szuba and Jason Cordell serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, June 1, 2014.
