Katheryn Lewis Goodwin

Katheryn Lewis Goodwin, 89, a resident of McDonald, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2014 in a Collegedale healthcare facility. She was a member of Westwood Baptist Church since 1980. She worked in the Mother’s Day out at Broad Street United Methodist Church until her 80th birthday.
Mrs. Goodwin was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Goodwin; parents, Tony Lewis and Emma Goins Lewis; sister, Alice Edith Roach; brother, C.T. Lewis who lost his life in the Korean War in 1952.
She is survived by her two children: Judi Shoemaker and husband, Redd of McDonald and Kelly Goodwin and wife, Kay of McDonald; six grandchildren: Lebron Shoemaker, Stacia Hayes, Tyreia Binns, Kyler Goodwin, Kole Goodwin and Kash Goodwin.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2014 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Caywood officiating. Interment will follow in Lee Cemetery in McDonald with Paul Goodwin, Dale Goodwin, Neal Goodwin, Robbie Binns, Alec Binns and Tim Stafford serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at the funeral home.
