Blanche Martin Parris
September 22, 1923 — August 2, 2014
Blanche Martin Parris, 90, a life-long resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2014. She was a member of Covenant Baptist Church and co-founder of Parris Roofing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Preston T. Parris; daughter, Linda Hall; parents, John and Ella Martin; siblings, Millard Martin, Hubert Martin, David Martin, Tommy Martin, Pearl Baker, Lily Lunkford and Bertha Tinnell.
She is survived by her, son, Randy Parris and wife, Cindy; grandsons: Gary Caywood and wife, Kathy, David Parris and wife, Jenny; granddaughters: Renee Leamon and husband, Darion and Kim Carr all of Cleveland: 12 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, and special niece, Sue Carter and special young lady, Avianna Duerr.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral with Pastor Jim Caywood and Pastor Gary Higgins officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family suggest that memorials be made to TARC Scholarship Program, PO Box 60128, Nashville, TN 37206 or Covenant Baptist Church Building Fund, 249 Calhoun Road, Cleveland, TN 37323.
