Marcie “Jean” Looper, 79, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, February 17, 2014 in a Chattanooga healthcare facility. She was a member of Restoration Fellowship where she was involved in the music ministry. She was retired from South Central Bell after 39 years of service and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers.
Mrs. Looper was the daughter of the late Hugh E. Pritchard, Sr. and Floy Freeman Pritchard and was also preceded in death by her sisters, Elvyn P. Gunter, Leslie P. Gaither and Mary P. Horn Barnhart; brothers, Woodie F. Pritchard and Hugh E. Pritchard, Jr.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Robert H. Looper of Cleveland; daughter, Melody Craig of Cleveland; granddaughter, Crystal Aikman of Cleveland; brother, Robert Pritchard of Sevierville, TN; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 20, 2014 at the Restoration Fellowship with Pastor John Looper and Melody Craig officiating. A private inurnment will be held Friday, February 21, 2014 at Hilcrest Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the church prior to the service.
