Lynda Presswood Suggs

April 6, 1945 — February 21, 2014

Lynda Presswood Suggs, age 68, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday afternoon, February 21, 2014 at a Chattanooga hospital.  She was a devoted member at First Baptist Church and loved the Lord Jesus Christ.  Her greatest joy was her relationship with her 8-year-old granddaughter, Darby.  She was a very loving mother and grandmother.  She had a servant’s heart and was counted a trusted friend by many. Lynda was retired from Eaton Corporation as an executive assistant after 26 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Frank Presswood and Ms. Gertrude Carden Presswood.

Survivors include her son, Lance Suggs (Carrie) of Murfreesboro; beloved granddaughter, Darby Suggs of Murfreesboro; two sisters, Virginia “Jinny” Davis of Cleveland, Evelyn Lee (Robert) of Cleveland; two brothers, Larry Presswood and Bill Presswood both of Cleveland; nieces, Jana Casteel (Waymon) of Cleveland and Judy Shamblin of Cleveland; nephews, Jimmy Ellis (Carolyn) of Cleveland, Jerry Ellis of Cleveland, and Victor Lee (Judy) of Knoxville.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Cleveland with Pastor Victor Lee and Pastor Steve Morgan officiating.  A white dove release will conclude the service.

A gathering of friends will be held immediately following the service at the church.
