Diane Vandergriff, age 54, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday morning,
February 22, 2014, at a Chattanooga hospital. She was a member of Covenant Baptist
Church. She loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, and had a deep
devotion to her animals.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Ralph Blackwell and Mrs. Barbara Blackwell.
Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Vandergriff; son, Shane Vandergriff and
wife Dionna, of Cleveland; daughter, Heather Wilson of Cleveland; four grandchildren,
Breonna and Austin Vandergriff and Hayden and Hunter Wilson, all of Cleveland;
one great-grandchild, Destiny Vandergriff, of Cleveland; two sisters, Vickie Lawson
and husband Allen, of Cleveland, Debra Campbell and husband George of Cleveland;
and one brother, Eddie Blackwell and wife Diane of Cleveland.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2014, in the
chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Higgins and Pastor Ray Higgins
officiating. Interment will follow at Hilcrest Memorial Gardens, concluding with a
white dove release ceremony. Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Blackwell, Eddie
Blackwell, Jr., M. Lynn Crisp, Jr., Jeremy Goodman, Brandon Headrick, and Kurt Young. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Blackwell, III, Derrick Blackwell, and Dakota Blackwell.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m., on Monday, February, 24, 2014, at the
funeral home.
