Warren H Hatcher

May 12, 1947 — March 10, 2014

Warren H. Hatcher, 66, a resident of Benton, passed away Monday, March 10, 2014 in a local hospital. He moved with his family from Sevierville, Tennessee when they organized their business, Riverside Dairy Farm in Benton, Tennessee. Warren started with 1 Holstein heifer as an FFA project and grew his dairy herd into a registered herd of 1200 cattle. He was a kind and gentle man with a tender heart. He was a true steward of the soil and his love for farming was one of his most enduring qualities. Warren was a member of Beech Springs Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, McKinley L. Hatcher; and brother, Don E. Hatcher; grandparents: William Robert and Bertha Hatcher and Frank and Una Cooper.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Linda Hatcher; children: Shane and Angie Hatcher and their children: Nicholas and Sarah; Mac and Olivia Hatcher and their children: Riley and Skylar; special nephew, Carl (Hoss) and Renee Maples; mother, Dorothy Hatcher; sister and brother-in-law, Wilma and Jim Guy; sister-in-law, Candy Hatcher; and brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Glenda Hatcher. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2014 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Joel Jenkins and Pastor Jerry Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in Benton Memorial Gardens with Jim Guy, Jimmy Headrick, Steve Headrick, Rex Cooper, Robby Hatcher, David Offutt, Steve Lofty and Randy Yates serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2014 at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorials be made in memory of Warren to Beech Springs Baptist Church Mission Fund, PO Box 160, Old Fort, TN 37362 or the Memorial Health Care System Foundation designated to “Cardiac Services”, 2525 DeSales Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37304.
